Many Kaiser Permanente medical centers offer Vision Essentials optical services alongside primary care, pharmacy, and other health services, making it easy to manage your health in one visit. No referral is needed for a routine eye exam.
Quality Eyewear and Lenses
Choose from a wide selection of frames, lenses, and contact lenses designed to fit your style and budget. Popular brands include Calvin Klein, Nike, and Ray-Ban, along with sunglasses for adults and children.
Peace of Mind
Glasses purchased through Vision Essentials include a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, helping ensure you're happy with your eyewear selection.
Pediatric Vision Benefits
Eligible children age 18 and under, including through the month of their 19th birthday, receive one routine eye exam per plan year at no charge and may be eligible for covered eyewear benefits through Kaiser Permanente Optical Centers.

- 24/7 Get care now: Have an on-demand video or phone visits with a doctor for urgent health concerns—usually in less than 30 minutes.1
- 24/7 Phone advice: Talk with a nurse for advice, scheduling appointments, and more.
- Email: Email your doctor’s office anytime with non-urgent questions. You’ll usually get a response within two business days, if not sooner.
- App: Download the Kaiser Permanente app on the App Store® or Google Play™ , to manage routine appointments, refill most prescriptions for mail-order delivery, see most test results and more. As a member, you can keep up with your care on the Kaiser Permanente website.
